......Bye Swami

Over the last couple of months life’s been very busy and so it will be for the next few months. But I desperately wanted to write this post.

Friday was the last working day of my Manager, Swami. I have seen many people leave this organization since I joined back in 2006 but none made me feel this way. Even though I worked in close proximity with him only in the last couple o months, I am going to miss him. He was a complete delight to work. He has been around in Kanbay for so many years, 10 years to be precise, that we still get a feeling that he is around in office.

The confidences that he showed in me, at times even surprised me. In fact he is actually responsible for the current role I have in this Organization. At times, I still wonder why did he select me and why not anyone else from the team for this kind of role? If at all I get an opportunity to work with him again I would like to get an answer for this question.

We are truly going to miss him and the Cricket conversations, his “kya re punter” slang, his humorous anecdotes, his inspirational words etc. Then again, as they say nothing is permanent except Change.
